What is JEBENEFITS?

JEBENEFITS is a health insurance agency that offers help to finding the best insurance plan to individuals, families, and small businesses.

What is the difference between PPO and HMO plans?

PPO plans offer flexibility in choosing healthcare providers and facilities. You are not required to have an authorized referral from your primary care provider (PCP) to see a specialist.

HMO plans, your insurance assigns you are a primary care provider (PCP). If you are wanting to change your PCP, you will need to contact your insurance company to request a reassignment. With HMO plans you typically need an authorized referral from your PCP in order to see a specialist.

Can I change my health insurance plan mid-year?

In most cases, you can only change your health insurance plan during the open enrollment period. However, certain life events such as marriage, birth of a child, or loss of coverage may qualify you for a special enrollment period. You also have the option to enroll in Private Insurance which is available year round.
